An orthosis (brace) supports, protects or aligns part of the body. It may be prescribed after surgery or injury, for arthritis, for weakness such as foot drop, or for spinal conditions. A brace only helps if it fits and is worn correctly, which is why P.O.R.C measures, fits and adjusts every brace in person.

How brace fitting works
- Prescription review: your doctor's diagnosis and instructions, including range-of-motion limits after surgery.
- Measurement: limb circumference, length and alignment.
- Selection: we explain suitable options across brands and budgets.
- Fitting: hinges aligned to your joint, straps set, and you practise putting it on and taking it off.
- Follow-up: re-adjustment as swelling reduces or your rehab progresses.
